No Child Left Behind
CONSOLIDATED STATE PERFORMANCE REPORTSThe No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) calls for stronger accountability for states and schools; greater choice for parents and students; and a stronger emphasis on teaching basic subjects such as reading and math. South Dakota’s Accountability Plan serves as the framework for all NCLB efforts in the state. Each year, the state produces a Report Card that outlines progress at the school, district and state level.
