Instructional Supports for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities

All students can learn when given the opportunity including students who have the significant cognitive disabilities. Core Content Connectors (CCC) assists educators in providing the bridge to the content standards that all students are being taught. This site provides general and special education educators the instructional tools and strategies to assist students with significant cognitive disabilities in learning age appropriate content standards.

Note: The National Center and State Collaborative (NCSC) was a project that researched and developed material for educators for this group of students. The goal of the NCSC project is to ensure that students with the most significant cognitive disabilities achieve increasingly higher academic outcomes and leave high school ready for post-secondary options.
