DDN Staff Development Series
Welcome to the School
Health Matters homepage!
School Health Matters is a training
course for educators, parents and community members. This training
course is offered through the Dakota Digital Network (DDN). School
Health Matters is an 8-week series that highlights a variety of
school health topics. Topics include: online predators,
methamphetamine use, obesity, SD health standards and
assessment, developing and implementing school policy, asthma and
allergies in kids, and teen alcohol use.
Sessions will be held 4:20-6:30 p.m. (CST) on each
of the following dates: 2/20, 2/27, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20,
3/27, 4/3, 4/10 and 4/17 (make-up day, if necessary).

District, Brookings School District, Childrens Care Hospital &
School (Sioux Falls), Colman-Egan School District, Colome School

Coordinated School Health is providing this course free of
charge; however, any fees for college credit will be the
responsibility of the participant.
