Children in Nature Backpack Grant - South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks
Outdoor recreation is an essential component of our well-being, and has the ability to improve your health and build the human spirit. The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks seek to encourage outdoor play and recreation through participation in the nationwide Children in Nature initiative.
As part of the initiative, the department developed the Backpack Grant program. The program provides resources and ideas to encourage outdoor exploration and discovery by preschool-age children in a child care or school setting.
