CenturyLink Teachers and Technology Grant

CenturyLink, in partnership with the South Dakota Department of Education has developed a competitive grant program to award South Dakota school teachers who use innovative technology in the classroom in order to improve the educational experience for students. These grants provide funding for pre K-12 classroom programs enabling the purchase of hardware, software, contracted services, and other technologies that target student achievement through technology integration in the classroom.
CenturyLink's core principle is that investing in education provides lasting value for the future. CenturyLink awards grants to community-based programs that generate high-impact and measurable results, focusing on pre K-12 education.

A webinar will be held to cover grant procedures and to answer questions on Monday, March 18, 2013, 3:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. CDT. Interested participants should register here.

Award Process
The CenturyLink Teachers and Technology grant requires grants be awarded through a competitive process. All proposals will be read and judged by a statewide committee comprised of pre K-12 educators, higher education faculty, and community members. The panel will determine award winners based on the criteria outlined in the application and enclosed scoring rubric.
Grant awards for the 2012-13 school year will be announced in May 2013.
